Go where you are Valued

They said - Go where you are valued, so I ran back to God. Why did I run back to God and not towards God?  God knew me since I was in the womb of my mother. When I came into this world , I met different people since my birth.  My mother, father, brother, friends , relatives, classmates, colleagues, neighbors, spouse.  But, do all of them value me? No! I didn't come across even one person in my life who gave value to me.  When I felt that, I had to run back to God who knew me. The only one God who valued me.  I had to run back to Him.  Go where you are valued!

Raise Your Standards!

Raise Your Standards! Raise your standards, not your status; Raise your patience, not your anger; Raise your silence, not your voice; Raise your let go, not your ego; Raise your humility, not your attitude; Raise your love, not your hatred; Raise your happiness, not your sadness; Raise your positive, not your negative; Raise your perseverance, not your stubbornness; Raise your honesty, not your falsity; Raise your pity, not your envy; Raise your generosity, not your greed; Raise your activity, not your laziness; Raise your success, not your failure; Raise your trust, not your doubts; Raise your hope, not your hopelessness; Raise your confidence, not your fear; Raise your discipline, not your turbulence; Raise your wisdom, not your foolishness; Raise your dignity, not your crudity; Raise your worth, not your worthlessness; Once we raise all the positive things in our life, we in deed raise our standards! Raise your standards!

Count Your Blessings!

Count Your Blessings! There is a song which goes like this – “Count your blessings, name them one by one; and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done!” Have we ever counted our blessings in our life? We do count our curses instead. We are here only to blame and count our “n” number of problems.  Now, let’s start counting our blessings starting from the beginning of the day.     Have you woken up today by swiping the snooze or turning off the alarm in your mobile? If so, then it’s the first blessing that you have received for the day. Many haven’t! 2.        Did you get up from the bed all by yourself and walk? If so, it’s the second blessing that you have received for the day. Many didn’t! 3.        Did you drink water/milk/tea and had your breakfast? If so, it’s the third blessing that you have received for the day. Many haven’t. 4.        Did you read...

Why Good Friday?

Why Good Friday? When my friends wish me Happy Good Friday!   And they ask me what special today, I reply “No”, this day is not a happy day for us and the reply to what special - We do fasting and not feasting since it’s mourning for us. Yes, it’s mourning since this day we commemorate Jesus Christ's crucifixion. Then, the next question comes up, Why Good Friday? Why is it called good?   Why? Well, even I had this question since childhood, in Malayalam (my mother tongue), it’s called Dhukhah Velli, Dhukhah means sad, in almost all south Indian languages it is the same meaning. And, Velli means Friday, so when translated to English it means Sad Friday! Now, this makes sense, but why Good Friday? Some sources suggest the day is called “Good” since it is holy, some say its derived from “God’s Friday”, some say Jesus is an Asian (Bethlehem is in Asia), so for us Indians, it is Sad Friday since we commemorate His crucifixion and for the Jews who crucified Him, it’s...

OM=AMEN=AMEEN

OM=AMEN=AMEEN There is only one God! We call Him by different names. As simple as that! Just like people from different regions speak different languages, follow different culture but belong to the same country; we follow different religion but belong to the same God. The word of God, according to Hindus, it’s “Bhagvad Gita”; according to Christians, it’s “Bible” and according to “Muslims “, it’s “Quran”. All convey the same message, message of God. It’s like a moral science subject; there is a moral to be learnt at the end of each chapter. How many of us have “studied” the word of God in their respective religion? I meant study and not read; there is a lot of difference between the words read and study, we read a newspaper and we forget it; we study something so that we can make use of it. I just read a verse from the Bible and forget it the next day, if I had studied it, I would definitely make use of it in my life. Yes, we have to study the word of God, there is lot of mor...

Being Judgmental!

Being Judgmental! What do you mean by being judgmental?   It’s nothing but, finding faults. We human beings find it very easy to find faults of others. It all begins from the family and the society we live in.   In a family, it’s the husband being judgmental on wife and vice-versa and Parents being judgmental on their children and vice-versa. This reminds me of a scene from the Bollywood movie “English Vinglish”, where Sridevi doesn’t know to speak English and her husband and children make fun of her. She then tries to learn English by joining a coaching center and by watching Hollywood movies, she tries to catch some words in the dialogue conversation which is nothing but ”Why you are being so judgmental”   and finds out the meaning of it from her niece. In the end, she delivers a beautiful speech in English at her niece’s wedding saying “Never be judgmental”. Now, how many of us have made fun like this of our mother who couldn’t speak English properly? Or ou...

Marriage=3M

Marriage=3M (Mind, Mend, Mould) We have come across too many equations in our theoretical life, be it physics, mathematics or chemistry; there are equations which have been derived from series of steps. I remember only few of those equations, Einstein’s equation of mass equivalence E=mc2 and some speed and velocity equations. Are we using these equations now? For me, it’s of no use, but may be for some scientists it’s useful for rocket science. We studied these equations just for our educational purpose, now; let’s see how we can make use of equations in our practical life. As mentioned, equations are derived by following series of steps; in the same way, to balance equations in our practical life, we have to follow series of steps. Each of us have our own way of deriving the equations, for e.g. according to India’s so called photo op PM, Mr.Narendra Modi or Modiji, in the equation (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab, the extra “2ab” is India and Canada! He could derive it so easily in hi...

#Lockdown Days

#Lockdown Days “#” or “Hashtag” in the beginning of the title has been influenced by the social media nowadays. During our schooldays (80’s and 90’s kids), we did not even know the use of this symbol, I don’t even remember if we used this symbol in mathematics. During engineering days (CS background), we knew this was used as the first line in our C programming code - <#include stdio.h>. That’s the only line I remember! But now, social media has changed its meaning, if something starts with “#” then it’s a challenge or whatever the social media describes! Now, let’s look into the word after the hashtag, Yes, “Lockdown Days”, “Isolated”, “quarantined” just because of a small virus! It is for our security reasons to stay safe at home, to maintain social distance. People are maintaining social distance which is directly proportional “α” to sustaining social media. Yeah! The more people are maintaining social distance, the more they are on social media.

Is Religion Mandatory*

Is Religion Mandatory* Be it any of the application forms, starting from school admissions to job applications there is a mandatory field named “Religion”. Why is this field mandatory in all forms? Fields like Name, Contact Number, Address, and Nationality is fine for identity purpose; But, Why Religion? While filling one of the application forms, I was bit confused when I came across the field religion, ok I filled it, the field next to it was Caste and then Sub Caste.   I did not have anything to fill so I left it blank. But, even these fields were mandatory that time. Now, what should I fill? I filled it as Nil. In recent news, Kerala School denies admission  to child after parents didn't fill caste,  religious  column.  Nazeem and Dhanya, who were seeking admission for their son at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, said they want to raise their child without any religious boundaries which is the reason why they did not fill religion and caste ...

Human Virusified

Human Virusified! Yes, you read it right! Human Virusified!   Not a computer virus but corona virus. All we have to know is whether this virus is created by man or nature or is it sent by God? Whom to blame? We humans are known only to blame each other. At present, we human beings are being carried away by so called social media universities. Yes, some genius has named it as university since people are getting graduated by the social media; even so called educated people are misguided by this university. Some people graduating from this social media blame China for the virus and term it as bio war or world war 3, maybe their subject was History. Some blame the people of China for eating all kind of animals, seems like their subject of interest was Zoology. Those who are blaming the nature are specialized in environmental science and those blaming God are into Theology. Now, let us go back to recent history, 100 years ago, there was Spanish flu in the year 1918 which ...
