Go where you are Valued

They said - Go where you are valued, so I ran back to God. Why did I run back to God and not towards God?  God knew me since I was in the womb of my mother. When I came into this world , I met different people since my birth.  My mother, father, brother, friends , relatives, classmates, colleagues, neighbors, spouse.  But, do all of them value me? No! I didn't come across even one person in my life who gave value to me.  When I felt that, I had to run back to God who knew me. The only one God who valued me.  I had to run back to Him.  Go where you are valued!

Count Your Blessings!

Count Your Blessings!
There is a song which goes like this – “Count your blessings, name them one by one; and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done!” Have we ever counted our blessings in our life? We do count our curses instead. We are here only to blame and count our “n” number of problems.

Now, let’s start counting our blessings starting from the beginning of the day.
  1.    Have you woken up today by swiping the snooze or turning off the alarm in your mobile? If so, then it’s the first blessing that you have received for the day. Many haven’t!

2.       Did you get up from the bed all by yourself and walk? If so, it’s the second blessing that you have received for the day. Many didn’t!

3.       Did you drink water/milk/tea and had your breakfast? If so, it’s the third blessing that you have received for the day. Many haven’t.

4.       Did you read the newspaper/watch TV/check the latest updates in your mobile? If so, it’s the fourth blessing that you have received. Many didn’t.

5.       Have you started getting ready for office/school wearing nice clothes/uniform? If so, it’s the fifth blessing you have received for the day. Many haven’t.

6.       Have you started to work/study? Work from home or office/school? If so, it’s the sixth blessing you have received for the day. Many haven’t.

7.       Is there money/card in your wallet to buy groceries/vegetables? If so, it’s your seventh blessing for the day. Many don’t have.

8.       Were you able to speak to your friends/colleague? If so, it’s your eighth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

9.       Had your lunch? If so, it’s your ninth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

10.   Did you take some rest/go for a walk post lunch? If so, it’s your tenth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

11.   Have you got back to work to finish your task for the day? If so, it’s your eleventh blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

12.   Had your evening tea and snack?  If so, it’s your twelfth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

13.   Did you reach home safe/logged off from work? If so, it’s your thirteenth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

14.   Do you have a family to greet you? If so, it’s your fourteenth blessing for the day. Many don’t.

15.   Are you living in a house? If so, it’s your fifteenth blessing for the day. Many don’t.

16.   Did you open the fridge to find sufficient vegetables/milk/meat/egg? If so, it’s your sixteenth blessing for the day. Many don’t.

17.   Had your dinner? If so, it’s your seventeenth blessing for the day. Many haven’t.

18.   Have a bed to sleep? If so, it’s your eighteenth blessing for the day. Many don’t.

19.   Are you able to sleep? If so, it’s your nineteenth blessing for the day. Many aren’t.

20.   Did you have a good day? If so, it’s your twentieth blessing for the day. Many don’t.

Many more blessings to be counted, but, what do we count more often? Blessings or problems?  Count Your Blessings!

Is Religion Mandatory*

Is Religion Mandatory* Be it any of the application forms, starting from school admissions to job applications there is a mandatory field named “Religion”. Why is this field mandatory in all forms? Fields like Name, Contact Number, Address, and Nationality is fine for identity purpose; But, Why Religion? While filling one of the application forms, I was bit confused when I came across the field religion, ok I filled it, the field next to it was Caste and then Sub Caste.   I did not have anything to fill so I left it blank. But, even these fields were mandatory that time. Now, what should I fill? I filled it as Nil. In recent news, Kerala School denies admission  to child after parents didn't fill caste,  religious  column.  Nazeem and Dhanya, who were seeking admission for their son at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, said they want to raise their child without any religious boundaries which is the reason why they did not fill religion and caste ...

The Politician Theorem!

Hope all are aware of the Pythagorean Theorem which was the most important theorem in Geometry during school. In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem, also known as Pythagoras' theorem, is a fundamental relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle. It states that the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares on the other two sides. This was the right angle theory which we have studied.  Now, let's look into the wrong angle theory, which is none other than the political theorem. In politics , the Politician theorem, also known as Political' theorem, is a fundamental relation in political parties among the three sides of a wrong angle. It states that the PM whose side is equal to the sum of the members of the party from the other two sides . Confused? So am I, the political theorem is so confusing since the theory itself is about the wrong angle. In this theorem, the wrong angle is the media and...

Trust None but God

Gone are the days where we had slam books, A notebook, passed between friends, for answering the set of questions that you prepared and sharing their advices and opinions.  One of my friends had written, "Trust None" as an advice to me. After reading it, I was curious to know why he wrote that. He said, its short but meaningful one which you will realise later. "Trust None". Yes, now I realized that his words were true. Trust none, not even your family.  One of my friends once told me that "You came alone into this world and will leave alone. Nobody will be there with you". So true,  nobody will be there with you forever. Never trust anybody.  Trust None but God.
